Getting Board Members on Board

When I’m out delivering workshops the participants at my trainings like to share what they have learned. Take a quick watch from a recent workshop:

I know how important it is to more deeply engage your board members. It’s one of the most often talked about topics where ever I travel.I’ve got lots of strategies and tools to help you engage others, including your board.

First:: Make sure, at the interview process for new board members to be very clear about what your expectations are for meeting attendance, fundraising, bringing guests to events, etc.

Second: Having board members sign an "agreement" form when they join the board can help keep people engaged. I've got some samples of board agreements on the Free Resources Downloadable Materials page of my website.
